Being on the CONEX organizational committee, a CAB Board Members and the head of PR for CONEX, gave me the opportunity to go around and interview some different table facilitators from the multitude of organizations that showed up at CONEX this year, and ask them, "What does conservation mean to you".
Everyone that I interviewed seemed to be ready to take on the discussion and input their own thoughts. They all shared a story with me about how they personally are involved in the environment and how their involvement has helped shape them into who they are. I really can not wait to produce a video with all of the amazing content and interviews I got from CONEX, and so you will be seeing that shortly. But as of now, I produced and edited a short video for the A.A. Stagg Early Late show with Madison Shumake where I shared snips and clips of the amazing discussions that were led during the interviews. I really urge you to watch it, because I also included a lot of photos from the whole event allowing you to get a glimpse of how amazing the event was. Really, when you were there you can feel the passion growing in each individual. I think that everyone went home a little bit more cautious about the things that they do and how they can help shape the world around them right from their own home!
If you got a chance to be at CONEX I hope you had an amazing time. If you didn't go, I wanted to ask that we start a discussion about the topic of "what conservation means to you" right down in the comment section below, creating a "virtual" CONEX. I hope you enjoy the video and also a big shout out and thank you to everyone who helped plan CONEX with me, most importantly Peter Gordan, the coordinator of the whole thing!
