You know those moments when you sit down on the park bench at 11:03 p.m., and you look over at the tennis courts as the warm wind blows on your cheeks? You see the lamp illuminating the courts, and then all of a sudden it turns off, and you see the moon. The bright moon and the stars sprinkled throughout the night sky.
Life can seem sometimes as if it was a movie. The funny part is, that movies tries to imitate life, while we try to make our lives into movies. Have we ever stopped to think about the fact that those magical moments, they are real? Those moments when you lay in the grass, go biking by the river, or jump into the warm sea... those are all moments that are real. Those are all moments we can feel, and we don't need to catch.
Some of my best memories are in Hungary. To most people, Hungary is a post-communist country that lays in the middle of Europe somewhere by Germany. But to me, Hungary is so much more. I to this day am able to feel the warm sun as the cloudless sky let the rays of sun fall through the leaves of the canopies. I see the kids playing in the thermal spas, the old ladies sitting on 80s pool chairs, smoking a cigarette,
and reading a magazine. I can see myself taking my boat shoes off, sinking my toes into the river that flowed through the center of town. I can see myself dancing in the streets while the music played and people laughed and danced along.
The world is yours. Your life is a movie. Stop trying to make it one, and instead, let it play out.
