This post was used to officially announce my candidacy for the 2019-2020 CEO position of A.A. Stagg Business Club.
At A.A. Stagg High School I am the Vice President of our Business Club. When people hear "Business Club," they think, "Ok, great, the future capitalists of the world all in one room". But really, our Business Club is one of the most vibrant and energetic clubs in our school. We have built a community of people that are willing to put in 110% to make sure that we take on issues such as the lack of sustainable products at our school, closing the gender gap in business, and the lack of experience of a younger generation.
In Business Club our members are able to:
Get involved in school activities
Gain experience in customer service
Serve as managers or board members
Gain inventory and cashier experience
And most importantly, join a community who is there for them!
In the 2018-2019 school year, we have done the Tumbler Project, a project that focused on providing an alternative to one-time use cups in our school cafeteria. We went on to create committees that focused on advertising, and we have pushed for more females to get onto the board for the 2019-2020 school year. We have set a foundation this year. We have put down cement into the ground, and now we are ready to build an even greater community that is able to not only give back to the community that supports us but also makes sure that our community sees us as a resource available to them.
I am officially, using this post, announcing I am running for the CEO position of Business Club for the 2019-2020 school year. This past year serving on the board has given me great experience that I feel I can use in order to take on and lead our club. During my time on the board, we have seen our club membership DOUBLE, the attendance at our meetings have also doubled, and I personally have headed on the Tumbler Project and went onto create the advertising committee. I hope that I have your support this year, and that if I am elected, I can go on to make sure that the cement we have laid down this year will be used to build something amazing for the whole Charger Community to cherish and be proud of!
Business Club - the cornerstone of the charged up community
